From the Monti Dauni to the Chamber of Deputies: an award celebrating our semolina.
On September 11, 2025, among the solemn halls of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, we brought with us the fragrance of durum wheat from the Monti Dauni and the essence of our semolina. In that place steeped in history, the name of Molino De Vita was called alongside other Italian excellences, on a day we will never forget.
The seventh edition of the Apulia Best Company Award, organized by Sinergitaly, opened with the words of Hon. Carla Giuliano: “Welcome to the house of democracy.” A phrase that immediately underlined the significance of the venue and the importance of celebrating Italian companies at the very heart of the nation’s institutions.
It was Hon. Giuliano herself who handed the award to Nicola De Vita, administrator of Molino De Vita, reading the official motivation:
“For an activity that starts with producers, bringing a quality product to international markets, and doing so from the territory of the Monti Dauni is even more prestigious.”
Words that reflect us perfectly. Our work truly begins in the fields, together with the farmers who cultivate durum wheat. It continues in the careful milling that turns each grain into high-quality semolina, and it is fulfilled by our only clients, the pasta makers, who transform semolina into pasta and bring Italian tradition to tables all over the world.
As Nicola De Vita reminded the audience when receiving the award:
“This recognition is not only for Molino De Vita. It belongs to the farmers who entrust us with their wheat, to the pasta makers who turn our semolina into pasta, to all those who believe that from the Monti Dauni can come a product capable of traveling the world without ever losing its roots.”
Alongside us, other companies from Puglia and the Capitanata area were also recognized, confirming the vitality of a territory that produces not only wheat but also enterprises capable of representing Italian excellence. The ceremony, moderated by Angelo Masucci with Prof. Massimo Lucidi (Fondazione E-Novation) and Riccardo Di Matteo (creator of the Sinergitaly brand and promoter of the new Sinergitaly News portal), focused on themes such as Made in Italy, innovation, sustainability, circular economy and artificial intelligence. Concepts often spoken of in abstract terms, but which for us mean land, work, supply chain and future.
The Apulia Best Company Award is not a finish line but a new step forward. It is the confirmation that our motto, “We are farmers before we are millers,” is not just a phrase but the compass that guides our every choice.
We thank all those who walk this path with us: the farmers, our collaborators, the pasta makers, and everyone who believes in the value of our work. This recognition belongs to all of you, to us, and to the territory that gave us life and that we continue to honor through our durum wheat semolina.
