Molino De Vita and Granoro together for Apulian wheat.
There are places where wheat is not just a crop. It is memory, responsibility and daily work. It is the tangible sign of a bond with the land that is renewed every year, season after season.
On 18 June, in the fields of Molino De Vita in Casalvecchio di Puglia, this bond came to life during the Granoro Dedicato Wheat Festival 2026, an evening dedicated to the supply chain, to farmers and to the value of Apulian durum wheat.
For Molino De Vita, this was not simply an event hosted in its fields. It was a moment of deep recognition for a story that belongs to our identity: that of a family born from the land, raised with wheat and, over time, established as a point of reference in the transformation of wheat into semolina for quality pasta producers.
The Wheat Festival brought together the key players of the Dedicato supply chain in an authentic and highly symbolic setting: the fields where everything begins. Before semolina, before pasta, before the final product, there are the land, agricultural work, waiting, care and the ability to work together.
After the welcome reception and aperitif, the evening opened with Antonio Stornaiolo, who moderated the round table discussion entitled “The Dedicato Supply Chain: History and Future Perspectives”.
Speakers included Marina Mastromauro, CEO of Granoro; Nicola De Vita, owner of Molino De Vita; Donato Luciani, President of the Cooperativa Fra’ Coltivatori di Apricena; Pasquale De Vita, Research Director at CREA; and Giandomenico Marcone, Dedicato Project Manager and Purchasing Manager at Granoro.
At the heart of the discussion was the value of a supply chain created to give identity, traceability and recognition to Apulian durum wheat. Over time, this project has brought together farmers, research, milling expertise and pasta production, building a model based on trust and shared goals.
In his speech, Nicola De Vita thanked Marina Mastromauro and Granoro for a journey built together over the years, recalling the beginning and evolution of a collaboration that has given Molino De Vita a central role in transforming Apulian wheat into semolina for Granoro Dedicato pasta.
But his words went beyond production. Nicola brought the story of the supply chain back to the family history of Molino De Vita, recalling the importance of his father Vincenzo, a decisive figure in the birth and growth of the company, and the role of his brother Michele, whose human and professional legacy continues to live on in the present of the mill.
These words gave the evening an authentic and deeply meaningful dimension. Because for Molino De Vita, wheat has never been just a raw material. It is a responsibility to be safeguarded, a promise to the territory, a commitment to those who cultivate it and to those who, through pasta, bring the result of this work to the table.
During the evening, the farmers of the Dedicato supply chain were honoured, in a moment of great symbolic value. The recognition of their work reminded everyone that quality begins first and foremost in the fields, thanks to the daily commitment of those who cultivate, observe, wait and harvest.
Marina Mastromauro and Giandomenico Marcone also presented awards to the supply chain partners, confirming the importance of every step and every skill involved.
The evening was also an opportunity to present the new Limited Edition format “Le Spighe”, introduced by Maria Marino, Marketing Specialist at Granoro, and Milena Torti, Packaging Development. Its name immediately recalls the agricultural origin of the project and the bond with wheat, the true symbol of the entire supply chain.
After Marina Mastromauro’s closing remarks, the Wheat Festival continued with a moment of lightness and shared enjoyment thanks to the performance by Toti e Tata. The well-known Apulian comedians brought their irony to the stage, celebrating the smile, tradition and identity of our land.
The evening then continued with one of its most evocative moments: dinner in the fields of the Dedicato supply chain. Surrounded by golden stretches of wheat, in the heart of a landscape that tells the origin of the project better than any words, guests shared an intense and authentic convivial experience.
For Molino De Vita, this day represented much more than a celebration. It confirmed a vision: quality is born from the land, but it grows only when people choose to move forward together.
Nicola De Vita recalled this clearly as he concluded his speech with words that capture the deepest meaning of the evening:
“As long as we remain united, Puglia will not only be a land to cultivate, but a land to preserve.”
This is the commitment in which Molino De Vita recognises itself: to continue working with wheat through expertise, respect and responsibility, remaining faithful to its agricultural origins and to the territory where everything began.
Because before being millers, we are farmers. And every day, through our work, we preserve a part of our land.
